Each valuable barrel is stored individually on steel girders, which considerably simplifies the transfer of barrels. With stacked barrels, it is very time-consuming to remove the bottom barrel - but with this barrel storage system, this is not a problem: access is guaranteed at all times. It is also possible to install this system in existing drum storage systems. A battery-operated force measuring system is built into each carrier, which accurately records the drum contents. Every day, thanks to the integrated WIFI, fully automated measurement of the barrel content, temperature and humidity is sent via Bluetooth to a miniature computer and stored in a file. The measurement data shows the cellar master whether all barrels are still tight, and also how much has evaporated (the so-called 'Angel-share'). The experienced cellar master can recognize on the basis of the large-area data over the entire "barrel wall" whether, for example, increased evaporation is taking place in an area of the cellar - and take appropriate measures. In addition, thanks to the highly stable sensor technology, the devils cut - the amount of distillate remaining in the barrel wood - can also be recorded. In the future, simplified accounting with the alcohol administration will be introduced. Or if a barrel is stored for an external customer (subject 'private barrel' or 'barrel shares' for enjoyment and as a financial investment) the customer can query the status of the barrel via the cloud at any time - simply and securely!
